Egg Pudding Recipe
Egg pudding or crème caramel is a classic French dessert
made of simple ingredients like milk, egg and sugar. Your kids are going to
fall in love with this proteins and calcium rich dessert.
Ingredients:
- 5 Eggs
- ¼ cup Butter
- ¼ cup Sugar
- ½ ltr Milk
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- ½ cup All-Purpose Flour
(Maida)
For Hard Sauce - 1/3 cup Butter
- ½ tsp Vanilla
- Nutmeg Powder
- 1 cup Sugar (powdered)
How to make Egg Pudding:
- Heat a small pan and put butter into it.
- As the butter melts, add flour and sugar to it.
- When it starts to thicken, add milk to it while stirring.
- Cook the butter-milk mixture for 5 minutes and then, remove it from fire.
- Break the eggs into a large bowl and beat them.
- Add the beaten eggs to the butter-milk mixture, while stirring.
- Now, add vanilla to this mixture.
- Empty the contents of bowl into a pudding dish.
- Heat the oven at 350 degree F, and keep the pudding dish, in a pan of water, in the oven. Bake the pudding for about 40 minutes.
- Serve the egg pudding with
hard sauce
For Hard Sauce - Beat the butter until fluffy.
- Gradually add sugar to butter, while beating.
- Now add vanilla and keep beating the butter.
- Pour the sauce over egg pudding and sprinkle a bit of nutmeg powder
