INGREDIENTS
·
1/2 cup butter
·
1 cup white sugar
·
1 cup full cream milk
·
2 tablespoons water
·
1 cup flour
·
1/2 cup cocoa powder
·
1 teaspoon baking soda
·
1 teaspoon baking powder
·
1/2 cup condensed milk
·
2 egg yolks
·
1 pinch salt
COOKING PROCEDURE
In a small saucepan, mix the butter, sugar, milk, and water until melted. Set aside and let cool to room temperature.
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and baking powder. Mix this into the butter mixture until just combined.
Pour the batter into a 7-inch cake pan and cover with foil. Steam for 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
To make the yema frosting:
Stir the condensed milk and egg yolks in a small saucepan over low heat until thick. Let cool to room temperature before using.
To assemble:
Spread the yema frosting over the cake. Serve at room temperature.
